Many congregations across the country are discovering that while faithful contributions from their members are vital, they may also need additional funding sources to sustain and grow their mission. During our last Ministerium day with Bishop Girlinghouse, we explored how congregations can honor and give thanks for God’s past faithfulness while embracing new opportunities for the future.  Join us on Tuesday, September 17 as we boldly look to the future and explore how congregations are successfully funding their missions through diverse and innovative sources.

 

Grace Duddy Pomroy, Director of the Stewardship Leaders Program at Luther Seminary, will guide us through innovative ways congregations can align their mission with new funding sources for a sustainable future. She will present from her forthcoming book about alternative financial models for ministry called Funding Forward. Come and learn how to create more economically sustainable models for ministry that connect with God’s mission for your congregation. Join us as we imagine together what God might have in store for the congregations we serve.

As with past gatherings, the NJ Synod will be holding a block of rooms for only $25 at Homewood Suites in Hamilton (thank you EMU!) on Monday, September 16.  There will also be time for fellowship, libation and food on that same day at 7pm.

 

Come for the night and spend time with your colleagues who need to see and miss you.
